My intentions for Tern Island 2008 is to describe my thoughts and preparations for my 4 month stay on Tern Island. I also hope to post regularly once I arrive on the island on April 7th.

Dinner Time

How did you get the picture of the flock of birds? We enjoyed the pictures of them. How many Red-footed Boobys live on the island? Where did that name came from? Could you send us pictures of fish? How many fish have you seen?
My formal education is in biology but I spent nearly all of my working life in other fields.I spent 10 years as a California State Park Ranger and nearly 25 years teaching elementary school. My wife of many years, my grown children, and my Dad have been supportive of my volunteer activities on the edge of the planet
