Bristle-thighed Curlew Revisited

I was riding the bike after work on Thursday last when I saw the Curlew on the runway. I got within 30 or 40 feet. There are several field marks that are diagnostic and I saw most of them. It has a bright buffy colored rump patch, a long down curved bill and is larger than the Pacific Golden Plovers that we see every day. The timing of their migration and breeding is highly synchronized among the population so seeing it here the first week in May also fit. It is such a rare bird that it is good when many factors support a visual identification.
