In the colony

That's me standing in the colony with the reef in the background. Black-footed Albatross over my hat and Great Frigate bird with the red throat. The other birds are Red-footed Boobies and Masked Boobies.

It looks like its warm. Do you have the right gear? What have you eaten so far? When do you do cooking duty? Who are the other people on the island with you? (It sounds like a reality tv show).

I'm glad you made it there safely! I agree with Hannah, it looks warm and tropical. When I quickly read yesterday's post I thought you said you... "had to tip every friggin' nest on the island". I thought, uh oh, he just got there and already has a bad attitude. Then I read it again and saw that you had to tip every "frigate" nest on the island. I bet it was kind of fun. Hang in there and say hey to Wilson. Kevin

It is nice to see your picture there among the birds. You look like a "newbee." In a few weeks the legs will be tan, the clothes will be more broken in looking--- maybe a few albatross "bombs" on the hat. Just came home from Grande and took a print of your picture with the birds down there also a copy of your blog entries. The guys enjoyed it. No volunteers though. They admire your spirit. Ruonavarra is in Grand Canyon.
More later.
